About me
After 15 years of corporate experience achieving Board level positions with some of the UK’s leading retail operators I decided to venture out on my own. Within 5 years I had set up, franchised and then sold my first business, winning a Business start-up of the year award in my first year. Whilst looking for my next venture I was approached by several companies to address their unique business challenges on an interim basis. The satisfaction and enjoyment gained from delivering for these companies, and their appreciation of the scale of my contribution made me decide to continue a career in offering business advice.
Over the last 25 years later I’ve supported more than 120 businesses in the SME sector and have also set up and helped sell additional businesses.

From personal experience
When I set up my first business I wasn’t prepared for the challenges I would face.
Stepping out of the corporate world with all the support and resources available I suddenly had to cope with all the aspects of running a business, in addition to my own areas of expertise. If only I had had the foresight to engage a business consultant/mentor to assist me on my journey I know I would have avoided many of the mistakes, miscalculations and errors of judgement made whilst in business for myself.
